Menurut anak Siti Halimah, Mohd Salihin Asmawi, 52 tahun, dia menerima panggilan telepon dari ibunya.
Dari ibunya Asmawi mengetahui ada ular yang masuk rumah.
"Tapi ibu beritahu ular itu keluar lagi setelah itu.
Ibu sekali lagi menelepon malam ini menginformasikan ular itu masuk kembali ke dalam rumah sore tadi.
"Saya kemudian menelepon Angkatan Pertahanan Publik Malaysia (APM) Bagan Datuk untuk memberitahukan kejadian sebelum mereka tiba di rumah ibu saya tadi," katanya kepada Sinar Harian.
Siti Halimah bahwa ada satu lubang kecil di dalam rumah kepada APM.
Petugas langsung melakukan pemeriksaan dan menemukan 14 telur ular di lubang kecil itu.
"Tetapi, ular tersebut tidak ada saat itu dan kami percaya ia sudah masuk ke dalam tanah karena lubang tersebut terlalu dalam," katanya.
Sementara itu, Pejabat Angkatan Pertahanan Sipil Bagan Datuk, Letnan Mohd Zaidi Ahmad mengatakan, sampai jam 11 malam, anggota APM masih berusaha mencari ular tersebut.
